In early 2017 we began to explore the use of drones as an addition to our expansive survey service. We are now licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority for the commercial use of our DJI phantom Pro and DJI Mavic Pro drones which are operated by our own fully licensed drone pilot. We are also a Pro member of the DroneSafe Register which provides assurance to customers that they are employing the services of an approved drone pilot who operates in accordance with UK/ ROI drone laws.
The use of drones has proved to be an invaluable tool especially in the case of initial site assessments and surveys. With the drone’s hi-resolution images and video footage we are able to gain a full overview of roof and chimney condition in a fraction of the time that it would take to gather the data manually. Thus saving us time and the client money.
The media produced by the drone provides the client with both a clear overview of the condition of their roof and an understanding of the issues highlighted from the survey and any subsequent recommended works.
Drone surveying is a relatively new, but fast-growing industry with many companies now offering such services. At Abco, by utilising our team of experienced roped-access technicians and building contractors, we are able to go beyond the standard survey service and offer a full package from initial site visit through to completion of works
