Bridge Re-decoration – Sizergh
Client Brief
Re-decoration works were required to Sizergh suspension bridge in order to protect against further weather related deterioration. In order to preserve the ecosystem of the river below, contamination containment measures were also required before painting works could commence.
Scope of Works
- Rig ropes for access to underside of bridge
- Rig tension lines for containment system
- Attach containment system to tension lines
- Carry out repairs to timber rails
- Sand and prep all surfaces for re-decoration
- Clean bridge timber and metal work and treat with anti-fungal solution
- Remove vegetation from bridge towers
- Paint all timber and metal surfaces to match existing decoration
